Soiree Celebrates First Cosmetology Program Graduates

Cosmetology Soiree — November 2nd, 2019

Kona, HI — Big Island Beauty Academy is proud to announce the graduation of our first four Cosmetology program students! The Big Island Beauty Academy opened a year ago in June and has since graduated over 20 Esthetics Students, five Nail Technology Students, and now the first group of Cosmetologists. The Cosmetology Program is the longest of our programs, taking just over a year to complete.

We are very proud of all our graduates, but extra proud of our Cosmetologists for the commitment and sacrifices they have made to complete their yearlong training.

We will be hosting a Cosmetology Soiree on November 2nd, 2019 at 5pm to celebrate our graduating Cosmetology students. The event will feature a runway show with six looks designed and inspired by our talented graduates.

Many congratulations to our first four Cosmetology Program graduates!

Maria — Cosmetology Program Graduate

Maria Watai — Maria was our first Cosmetology Student and graduated in August 2019. Maria was an exceptional student, as she excelled in everything she attempted. By the time she graduated she was a Borboleta certified lash artist and a very competent and talented hairdresser. Maria will be working in the Honokaa area.

Briana — Cosmetology Program Graduate

Briana Paolo — Briana will be graduating at the end of October. She has always dreamt of a career in Cosmetology. However, she began her Cosmetology journey later in life because she dedicated her life to raising her family. Briana has done an amazing job and has been a very attentive learner, soaking in all there is to learn. Briana is Borboleta Lash certified. She is going to do extremely well on her new career path. She lives in Waikoloa and once she passes her state licensing exam she will be working there as well.

Edie — Cosmetology Program Graduate

Edie Buchholz — Edie is graduating in early November. She has been a great student and is going to be an awesome Cosmetologist. This is given only to those students who show an overall positive and helpful attitude. Edie has a love for nails as well as hairdressing, so she will have a lot of versatility. Edie plans on working in the Kailua-Kona area once she passes her state licensing exam.

Camren — Cosmetology Program Graduate

Camren Shardelman — Camren will be graduating in early December. She has been an excellent student and definitely has a flair for coloring hair. Camren plans on having a heavy focus on Chemical Services in the future and I believe she will be awesome at it! She will be working in the Kailua-Kona area once she passes her state licensing exam.
